So, I got this car about a month ago and have been basically doing maintenance work before I consider any real upgrades. so for it needed a new slave cyl. so I did the slave(OEM-mitsubishi), master(OEM-mitsubishi), and stainless braided clutch line, because that's how I roll. swapped out some lube for MT-90, front pads, I cut the front rotors, oil change and such. I took a look at the plugs yesterday, (car is running fine, so was more for curiosity) and noticed that one of these things is not like the other. the #4 plug was a different part# different heat range, longer ground, and a gap of around .060 the others looked like your standard plugs with around a .035 gap.
I replaced them with NGK platinum plugs but can't get #4 out of my mind. The lady that owned the car bought it new, was only serviced at the dealer, and 122,236 miles later arrived in my hands totally bone stock. I'm just wondering if the odd plug was intentional. I guess the only thing I can do is put some miles on the fresh plugs then pull them out and see if anything is amiss. like I said, it runs or at least seems to run fine.
I left the plugs at work, and shop is closed Sunday, so will post a pic on Monday.
