Good to know, but what kind of quality issues do the BC's have?
Just start searching Brian Crower (BC) and you'll find some threads showing the carnage.
OP, which 272 from Delta are you talking about? Is it the HKS grind or the Kelford as both sets are 2 completely different monsters. You can't make assumption just based off of "264, 272, 280, 288 etc." but rather the lift, duration numbers and what RPM you plan on going to.
If it's the HKS grind then the BC springs will work and I wouldn't go anything over 8.5K RPM on them. It it was the Kelford grind then you'll want stronger springs like the Kiggly beehive springs.
I have a set of the Delta 272 Kelford grinds about to go in with BC springs and retainers. I'll be revving into the mid 8000rpm range.
If i drop a valve i'll let you know, but i'm not worried. I tend to agree with Bogus on this one.
Delta hks regrinds with stock springs id rev out to stock redline
Deta hks regrinds with BC's Id rev out to 8k solid. Make sure they are installed correctly or take em' back and grab some Manley springs/tita. retainers.
My question..Does anyone have a Dyno comparison of an hks 272 and a Delta K272?? I would love to see what that higher lift does on a sheet. That would actually help me make a choice for my spare head.
