My profile is current, but heres a short rundown.
stock bottem end 7bolt 2g Gst
120k miles
rebuilt stock head
G50 internaly gated
2g FMIC shorte route pipe
650 injectors
255 walbro
safc-2
pocketlogger obd2
fullthrottle fpr w-gauge
bpr6es plugs
fresh timing belt/all gaskets involved
ARP head studs
Cometic HG

was running 18-20psi before timing belt died from oil leak, logger showed smooth timing across the board. about -34 on safc-2

Was thinking about cranking this thing up to about 25psi, can my 7bolt bottem end take that if im not knocking very much ? havent loged since rebuild but car runs good logger view mode shows no timing dips when watched by co-pilot all things look good.

So whats everyones opinion? I know my g50 is at home at 20+ psi and ive got what i need to support that I think.....so let me know what ya feelin.

PS. 3in catback stock Dp-cat / full meagan 3in Dp and magnum 3in cat waiting to get welded in.:dsm: :thumb:

If you aren't knocking, you would be really suprised at the ablility of the 7 bolt to handle the airflow. You start knocking one day when you aren't paying attention and that's when things go "BANG".

I would be more worried about the head gasket at that pressure then the bottom end. Depending on your head stud / gasket combination, it is a possibility that you will lift the head at that pressure.

Do it carefully and post some logs in the tuning section. There are some really experienced tuners that can get you on the right track and make sure you aren't knocking.

<---- retarded

Forgot to mention the rebuild included ARP head studs and a Cometic HG :thumb:

So 25psi on a decsent tune sounds ok on a 120k stock bottom end 7bolt 2g ?

Thanks and wish me luck when I decide to go through with it LOL :dsm:

You may want to increase your boost in small increments and generate a few WOT logs each time. With Pocketlogger, you won't be able to directly log knock. However, you can log timing advance. Your timing advance should continually increase once you hit full boost - if it levels-out or dips during a pull, then you are most likely knocking and will need to lower the boost, run higher octane fuel, increase fuel, etc.
