I had my boost set at 24 psi then i turned it down to about 9 psi for percautious reasons. But now i cannot turn my boost back up past about 15 psi. I installed a j pipe so my routing is a little shorter. But any input on why i cannot reach my previous setting after installing my new set up?

The screw could be sticking and when you turn the nob it doesn't compress or release the spring, essentially causing the spring to be stuck in one spot not letting the ball move. That was my issue on an old hallman i had, the fix was super gluing the threads of the screw to the knob so the knob wold actually turn the screw to release the ball. if you can hear it rattle inside when fully open its a good MBC.

You mentioned in your other thread you have a crappy MBC. Which one are you running? I'd start with a boost leak test and then check the MBC.

I have no idea. It works though i know that. I loosened the screw almost all the way and i can blow through it all the way in i cant blow through. So it works. And im doing a blt after school

I had that issue with mine. After lowering the boost, i couldn't get the boost to go back up again. I ended up loosening the screw all the way out, taking the spring out, then putting the spring back in and re-tightening the screw- problem solved.

I did and still nothing. And i have no boost leaks up to about 25psi.

What you can do to eliminate your boost controller as a problem is take the line off your wastegate and cap it so no pressure is trying to open your wastegate. Take the car for a spin but don't get to greedy with it so you don't overboost just in case, if the car gets 15-20 psi then there is a problem with you boost controller. If you still can't build more boost then 15 psi then I would do a leak down test. Pressurize your system from the inlet of the turbo and see if you have any leaks. Also check and make sure that you have a line running to your bov, if that is not connected for some reason it could cause your bov to leak.
