My 1g has no signal on the odb port but throws a check engine light after running a few minutes. Dies anyone know if I can take a signal right off the ecu or another way to get the code? Track car and wire harness is mostly removed and cut up but the odb port worked last year. I might start by removing the seat so I can get under and check connections. But that's harder than it sounds because of the roll cage.

Hi thanks. Pulled the ecu last night, and my circuit tester isnt working. I will try tonight to get the code. Too bad about my odb port though as I cant run a logger now either.
I do think I have to pull the seat and get under the dash anyways, I might find a unplugged connector of some wires that need repairs. Might solve my problem where my car doesnt run past 2500rpm.

Picked up new plugs yesterday and I have new plug wires, but I doubt thats going to fix it. Dug out a spare coil, MAF, CAS and still need to find a spare TPS. I will start swapping them one by one if the code doesnt lead me anywhere.

The harness itself is sketchy. Would love to buy a thinned out new one that has enough to run the car. Being a track only car I hate running suck a old harness as I figure its only a matter of time before Im out of a event due to wiring, which might be my currently problem..
