Dash Lights in Eclipse dont work Help!

the dash lights in my eclipse dont work, the signals and everythign else work but the gauges wont illuminate at night. I tried replacing all the fuses and that didnt help, are the bulbs burnt perhaps? thanks

If its ALL of the illumination lights in the dash that are out and you already checked all of the fuses. Try checking the dimmer turn switch (By left knee) because it may have went bad. I'd start there and if it tests good, you can troubleshoot from there because it will be somewhere between the switch and lights. Good Luck, hope it helps

the dimmer is good, so ill try replacing the bulbs i guess.

i had a similar issue on my car, but i have aftermarket dash lights, and they were run through the illumination on my cd player, if you have a setup like that, check to make sure that that wire is connected

ahh that explains it perhaps, the guy i bought it off of had an aftermarket CD player and it was fine until he took it out. i dunno.

yeah give that a shot, if he used a wiring harness it should be really easy fix. if he was a cheap bastard, and spliced the wires together, it'll be a pain in the ass to figure out which colo wire to connect to, i was lucky because the prev owner actually labeled the wire, but vfaq.com should have a wiring color code if nothing else

odd.... problem must be elsewhere. a wiring harness should already have that wire connected.

I'd pull the cluster out and check the bulbs...it doesn't take long. You could switch to leds while you're at it..like i did..

on my speed omiter. the number closest to 0 is dimmer than the rest would that be a bulb? If so how do i replace it?

If the radio is after market there should be a orange or orange w/ white strip wire. That wire hooks into the cars illumination. But the radio doesnt control that, its for when you are using your dimmer switch it brightens or darkness the radios illumination as for your dash lights. Most of the time places or people dont hook up this wire b/c it serves no purpose execpt to illuminate the radio. This wire has nothing to do with your problem.
