dash brake light

recently i have been starting my car and the brake light in the dashboard is on. I always use my e-brake when parked. After awhile or 3 to 4 start ups it goes off, but it is occuring more often, is this an electrical problem or an actual brake problem?

That or your E-brake pads are wearing down or are worn down already and need to be replaced.

Not that I've heard of.
Refill your master cylinder resevoir.

I do have a leaky master cylinder, but what is a good brand to use
