It only comes on when you hit the brake pedal? I'm not sure if it's the same way in DSMs, but in my Z, the brake light will come on when a brake light is out. Check that.

fluid in the resevoir might be low. if it is, you got a leak. if it is low and black, it is probably coming out the back of the master cyl, and has leaked down behind the carpeting in the pedal area. brake fluid will eat paint and it is highly corrosive.

where is the resorvoir located in a NT and brake lights are fine :thumbdown

bleh more probs with teh dsm

Does your car still brake normally, or is it harder to stop?

I have the same problem sort of, but when i start my car in the morning the light stays on, even when i let the E-brake down. then later in the day if i start it and the cars already warm it will be off...is the switch stuck? any input is appreciated :thumb:

Doesn't have to be a leak, could be time for a brake job. Also, light comes on if one side of the master cylinder has different pressure than the other.

i will check all my brake fluids tomm morning any idea where the resorvoirs are will be nice thanks
