Hey,
Well im almost done getting my engine rebuilt and i had a head that had been rebuilt before and the tolerances were pretty close and i was just going to use a little resurface to take out some scratchs and I had the local college do it here and the kid was setting up the machine and the machine wasnt set up right and put a large guage in my head so i had the shop weld it and they are going to resurface it i belive it was .007 away from being out of spec for head thickness now im wondering where i can get a head shim for this beast i really dont want to get a new head now i have bronze manganeze guides and 1mm oversized valves already installed and ported and pollished Where do i get these head shims im hearing about and will this affect the reliability of my engine
Thanks
Andy Hull
