I know FP, SBR, ERL and Turbonetics have cast manifolds ranging from T3/T4 to DSM standard... my question is would anyone know of a place that might actually custom fabricate a cast manifold that won't crack but meets the request of what I'm looking for? Just curious, I feel that this may be a stretch...

Like (nighmare) said above, what other framed turbo could you possibly want to run that there isn't already a cast manifold for? Or what's so special about your requirements that the current offerings won't suite?

I would honestly think a high quality tubular manifold would be cheaper then having a custom cast manifold made from scratch.

Yes you can have them made overseas, BUT you have to have 15-20 made at a time just guessing you spend about $200 each plus custom cost and taxes and shipping.

And appox 4-6 lead time to have them made and machined.

You can have one made but the cost would be the same for a "prototype"

Like LiquidX said, getting a tubluar one made would be cheaper.

Not really. Custom tubular start at 700+. Even with a final cost of $500 for a cast its still cheaper

A custom cast manifold will NOT cost >$500.

As Dale mentioned, you need to R & D the design, figure out a mold, create the mold, test it to ensure it will hold up and then make a final product.

If a place will do it, they will need multiple orders to make it worth wile. Hell, a CF company will only make a product if enough people buy it just because it's not cost effective to make a single unit for all the time spent.

Even if it was a 20 buyer required before a mold would be created, it will still most likely be in the same range as a high end tubular manifold.

As mentioned above though, it would be interesting to hear what exactly the OP wants that isn't already available.

Don't know what the OP had in mind,
But I would love to see a true cast twin scroll external wastegate manifold, that would fit a 12cm TS hx35.

All makes sense, I guess what I was getting at was that upon searching amongst the other cast manifolds I'm looking for something that would be similar to OEM style, such as that of the Turbonetics design, BUT doesn't have the W/G located on the manifold itself. I guess I'm being "too picky" as I'm favouring the FP3052 setup with the FP manifold but the only reason I'm going to that as a last resort is that I'm trying to get something similar but not venture to the tubular design as I've read both sides of it being a great design for higher power/RPM capability (correct me if I'm wrong) and cast is geared more towards durability?

I guess really what I'm looking for, now that I think about it, is a manifold that looks like the FP or any stock DSM manifold that is T3/T4 without the w/g port located somewhere on the manifold itself but would be like the setup FP has created with their FP30 setups. Hope I've cleared up some questions?

Pick up some pattern making books and start makin patterns for what you want. If you get a good pattern done, I bet you could find a foundry to cast them for about $100 ea.

Of your only gonna do one, it might be best to use the "lost wax method" As you won't have to spend a bunch of time making cores

I have stuff do an aluminum intake, and I've been working on a pattern for a forrester style intake.

I may have to look into the flange adapter, but question on that - is it stable to use an adapter? Would boost be at higher chance of leaking? Just curious.

You can always use an adapter.

You have no chance of "boost" leaking with an adapter.

The only problems I see is added weight, and the fact that there are increase chances of exhaust leak with more flanges and gaskets needed. You will need an addition gasket to run an adapter, not to mention proper hardware to maintain the right torque spec to keep a seal.

Yes, if it was the next best solution to what was needed to be done. I would try to find something in what you are looking for and if nothing then consider it. It's more work to get them to work as they will move the turbo lower.

If you want a custom tubular under 800 bucks take a look at my manifold and ill get you in touch with my builder. You will not get a custom cast manifold cheaper or even close to other cast manifold out. If it hasn't been done yet there's probably a reason.

Ha! I'd like to see a Holset cast turbine housing with the wastegate flange on it. Or a cast v-band holset housing. Do I stair at the FP site to much?

Get a tial and have it machined for a holset turbine. gt30 for hx35, gt35 for hx40.

A cast twin scroll t3 manifold that doesn't put the waste gate in a retarded place, and keeps the turbo tight to the block so you can use stock fans would be ####ing sweet. Preferably investment cast 321 stainless as well.

Alright, so from what it seems people are suggesting to what they would like to see... I'm not the only one wanting something different? As wvturbo2 said, maybe there is a reason for them not creating it. But also in a later thread (2008 or something like that) they mentioned something about O2 housings in that they only create so many and if not many are going to purchase them, smart businessing, then why create them... sadly all I want is to find a possible T3/T4 manifold (cast or tubular I guess) that doesn't have the w/g right on the manifold (similar to that of a the FP and stock cast).

I looked at your setup/modifications listing, wvturbo2, and see that you've got the FP manifold (correct me if my eyes decieve me), a PTE6765 which can come in a Evo 1-3/DSM housing, and a 3.5" dp... so what is the O2 housing/dp bolt configuration on that? Although I don't necessarily need a 900hp turbo (way over my head - for now) but curious, is this the dp custom I take it? Or am I looking at the wrong car/old pictures...
