I recently just put a 20g turbo on my car and switched my exhaust manifold while i was in the process because i needed a provision on the number 1 runner for my EWG setup. I cannot figure out who made this thing and was was wondering if any of you guy have seen this manifold before.. I know for a fact it isnt a 1g/2g/evo3 manifold because well this thing is cast way bigger. It only has a "S" and a "X" cast on the bottom and is tapped for a EGT probe on rhe number 1 runner. Its ported to the max and the flange is thick enough to run a t04e cover turbo and not have to dent the waterpipe at all. Hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance guys!

Looks to me like a early cast of the HAFE/Slowboy manifold before the 38mm external was added.

ahh i was beat to it :toobad:

Good info here!

I just received what I thought was an Evo III manifold on trade, but I'm pretty sure it's one of these. It is tapped in the exact same area, is very thick at the flange and I actually had a tough time getting a nut above the #1 runner without angling it and sliding it on beforehand.

Would these be worth more than an Evo III? Just out of curiousity :D

Thanks for the help guys. Judging the pics i found i do believe its a early SBR manifold. I hope its worth something. It did save my waterpipe from a beating from when i was running the PTE 5031..

Wrong- it's a GT Concepts manifold once marketed by Texas Rebuild / Turbochargers.com and discontinued around 2007/2008.

If it were an old SBR manifold it would have had the raised webbing on the top, and it also would have cracked in half by now.

The GT manifolds were cast from a ported MHI Evo III manifold, so it's like buying one that has already been ported. The thing I didn't really care for is they ported the divider off the manifold they used as a mold, so there's nothing to divide the cylinder pulses like there is on the factory manifolds. This has been proven to slow spool time down a bit.
