OK so here's the deal i have a 6 bolt motor with the balance shaft belt off, balance shafts are still there. Pro thane poly mounts all new.

The engine vibrates so bad that after your done driving it your body is numb to the point where it feels funky to stand up :barf:LOL. It vibrates like hell till you get up around 3500 then it smooths out but still vibrates some.

It vibrated when the balance shaft belt was still in, so although it seems like the culprit its most likely not. Any other suggestions? It also backs bolts out of the motor and throws all kinds of phantom knock it shakes so bad. Need some help!

The rear shaft is still spinning. It's driven off of the oil pump. Without having the front shaft exactly out-of-phase with it, the weights on the rear shaft are shaking the steaming dogshit out of your engine.

Put the B-belt back on, or actually install the stubby shaft from the BSE kits. If you put the belt back on, make sure you get the front shaft in the right position or else you'll shake even more violently.

I can't imagine how violent the shaking must feel, that shaft is pretty hefty to be spinning as fast as it is without being counter-balanced.
the balance shaft belt is off right now but the shafts are still in there. when the belt was on it was right on the money but the car still vibrated just as bad?

o_o.....I.. wasn't aware you could run with no Balance Shafts. I must be an idiot.

Test Timing Once, Twice, Three times a lady. Then check it again.

Or you broke a motor mount! ;D

They are solid poly mounts NO Breaky! i can try putting the balance shaft belt back on and see if that helps. By timing you are talking about the timing on the balance shaft belt right. or you talking about the oil pump being out of phase?

Check your balancer to see if it has spun on the hub .

could be that the rod/piston/crank/balancer/flywheel/pressure plate one or another ir all , are so far off your slonging the out of balance weight all over the place, this is a very rare deal but can happen.

They're talking about your crankshaft timing. I wasn't aware you could leave both shafts in w/o a belt either... I really don't think that's recommended since your oil pump is only spinning one of them...

Yeah. Didn't figure you could.

Your Issue (95% sure) = Balance Shaft(s)

Your Solution = Do that shit right.

Either put that belt back on RIGHT. Or get the BSE Kit and completely remove the Balance Shafts.

ok gonna rip it all apart put the bs belt back on and re phase the oil pump and see what happens. thanks fellas

Put the balance shaft belt back on and re phased the oil pump took away probably 85% of the vibration!LOL Any one have poly mounts that shake the whole car?
