So i just got a super clean 99 gst spyder with 98K miles. I don't know any vehicle history other than Im the third owner of the car and it is completely stock. When the engine is running it has a noticeable amount of vibration. The vibration isn't extremely bad but just enough to not feel right. The vibration gets worse as rpms rise. The engine seems to pull good with no hesitations in all gears and rpms. Also sounds like a heat shield may be vibrating also. I previously owned a 91 1G which ran much smoother. Could it be a bad motor mount or a worn balance shaft belt? Don't know if the timing belt has been changed or not but I'm assuming it has since the car looks nearly brand new. Is there a way to check the T belt? Any thoughts?

Solution
Found the problem to be a misinstalled balance belt. The previous mechanic didn't align the balance shaft within the oil pump assembly correctly.

Solution
was going to say that a B-belt busted on you, but good to hear that you got the issue settled.
