I was wonding that if I bought the light weight crank from Buscher & new Mitsubishi barings...would that help stop crankwalk? I've read almost all postings & articles about crankwalk but yet nothing of after market parts solution.

I'm thinking that I might have crankwalk & I'm doing research. I've read some articles about the 2g bottom end not getting enough oil & other articles say that the crank was machined off a little.

I have a complete 90 GSX on my hands with a blown head gasket. I'm debating between either just fixing my car OR doing a swap.

If I do a swap will the 6 bolt line up with the 2g tranny. Some say yes & others say there will be drillin involved & some screw holes need to be filled & re-tapped. So which is it?

Thanks..I'm sort of confused which way to go. Don't point be back to the crankwalk section cause it mostly complaints & experiences. I might have crankwalk & I'm looking for the best soltution.

Nope. Or, maybe. Trouble is that no one knows what the trouble is. I've heard about three theories that I don't just reject as being either occasional-case, or absurd: Bad metal, bad maching, or bad machining of not enough metal. The oil squiter idea doesn't convince me, nor do I generally blame the Silent Shafts, although in those cases where it's been the cause, it's been the cause.

There's no more a "stop" to crankwalk than there is a "cause".

Many, many, many 7-bolt motors are going on and on and on.

Some help.

easy answer do the block swap

most people will be politicians with the crank walk problem, avoid the issue completely is the correct answer.
