I just wanted to post the info for anyone who might be pursuing one of these swaps. Here's what you need to know when it comes to the head gasket:
First, you need to plug the holes in the block that arent in the head, because the DOHC head sits on the block differently than the SOHC head does and you'll be blowing crankcase pressure out of them. We just used freeze plugs and copper gasket maker on mine.
Second, if your block and pistons are stock bore, you need to use an 86.5mm gasket. I've heard Parts Dinosaur has these, but I got mine from Extreme PSI, it's this one: http://www.extremepsi.com/store/product.php?productid=18928&cat=0&page=1
You'll probably want to copper gasket maker in the holes on the gasket itself too that arent used, just to be sure it seals as well as it can. It fits perfectly on the bores. If you have any overbore at all, you can use a DSM gasket. I couldnt find an 86.5mm gasket made for a DSM as they are 85, 86, or 87 only. I have been told you can use the 87 with no issues but I wanted the exact correct size.
