420A COP, Which Ignition Coils?

Since Megasquirt has made it easy, I am running a coil over plug ignition setup (damn the wasted spark). I'm wondering which ignition coils I should be using though. I currently have some Audi coils installed but are much too tall and have no way to secure them. I only used them to get the engine running because a friend had them laying around. Obviously I'll have to find some way to secure the coils no matter which ones I use, which I can figure out. I just need to find some coils that are the correct length. I can get a measurement of how tall the tubes need to be, but am not sure how that would be helpful while shopping for coils. I don't usually see the dimensions advertised, only specific engine fitment.

If it comes down to it, I can definitely assemble some ignition coils. By attaching the stock plug wire boots to some coils with springs. I was really hoping I could just buy something to drop right in though. Using the stock ignition brick is out of the question.

Guys have had good luck with the Toyota stick coils from the Tacoma, say 2005 and up years, this is a go to coil for the 4g63, as for the 420a I cant say for certain if they would fit but I assume that the lengths would be similar, maybe find one to try out, possibly at your local parts store, I will warn you though that the aftermarket Toyota coils stink, I recommend that if they work for you that you go buy genuine coils from Summit Racing, they are Nippondenso coils and that is the cheapest place that I have found them.

Neons commonly used ignition coils from 2.7L Intrepids, maybe worth exploring because they're cheap and are known to work: https://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?t=384869

I'll look into the 2.7 coils. I didn't even consider that there may be a similar Mopar engine with COP. Without measuring I'd say the 4g63 cylinder head plus valve cover is a bit slimmer than that of a 420a.

FWIW the coils on my car are 300m’s from Chrysler. I am 4g powered though.

The Chrysler coils are going to require some type of mounting plate to use them, which is why I recommended the Toyota coils, also the megasquirt will not be able to natively drive the 12v Chrysler coils, it will need a module to run them whereas the Toyota coils have the drivers built in to them.
