Has anyone reached the limitations of the ignition drivers in Mega Squirt; to the point of needing to add an additional module, such as an MSD unit?

Or is this something that I shouldn't even be worried about?

You're unlikely to exceed the capabilities of the newer Bosch BIP373 or Fairchild ISL9V5036P3's ignition drivers. They can both handle quite a bit of current. You're more likely to reach the physical limits of an inductor based ignition system. At a certain point, the ignition coil becomes saturated and more dwell no longer contributes to more current through the spark plug.

No one has methodically explored the coil saturation point, but only then should you have to consider a capacitive discharge ignition (CDI), such as those from MSD, Dynatek, or Crane.
