i have a 96 n/t eclipse. i installed the hp coilover kit a couple years ago. the drivers side control arms keep going bad and i am not sure as to why. i need to change them again and this is going to be the 4th time. i have an idea as to whats going on. if anyone has had this problem or has any ideas please share them. i want to sell the car soon so i am not trying to put any more money into it. let me know what you guys think. thanks..............

bump..........no one can give me an answer or any advice??????????

Maybe a little more info.....like

Which arms, Upper arm, lower arm(s)?

What's going "bad", the bushings? The ball joints? are the arms bending? How exactly are they going "bad"?

There are a lot of things/moddifications that could cause components to wear quicker than "normal". Stiffer spring rates put more stress on the suspension components. Especially the lower control arm ball joints. Radically lower profile tires can also increase the loads going into the suspension components and cause premature wear. Same with Poly bushings.

Have you done anything else besides the coilovers? Lowered the car? etc.....?

well im running a 215/50/16 tire so its not all that much different than stock. im not sure which arms exactly are going bad. when it starts to stick and i can feel it in the steering is when i start looking at changing them. i just go to the junkyard and get all 3 arms for like 80 bucks, just swap them out. its the ball joints that are going on them though. it starts to make this horrid grinding/squeaking noise. you can feel it in the steering and its just bad. while i was in california in the high desert the casting on the lower control arm actually broke and the wheel came off. luckily i was backing up at the time and i was only going a couple miles an hour. the wheel kicked out and the fender was resting on top of the tire. i know there was a recall on the control arms but with the amount that ive changed them i surely should have gotten a "good" set by now.
