Compound Turbo Setup Holset style

Its mounted on the cross pipe. It is kind of hard to see but a little further down on the pipe.

Well changing some things up. I decided to go with ECMlink this summer. The engine management I personally think is sufficient to get me into the 9s and I would hate to waste my summer trying to tune a compound speed density setup on AEM EMS. When I get my dyno I might throw it in to work on getting use to it. The guys at
I also decided to ditch my old SSAC intercooler for a treadstone vertical flow intercooler. It will be low enough to run my cross pipe on top of it and it is a Fing boss intercooler. I am working on the cold cross pipe as we speak and should have a pic added by the end of the night.
I got my two trans coolers in along with a fan for the bigger one. I am changing the mounting of my radiator. Also ordering my sinister speed TC up real soon. Just kind of roaming in the sinister thread trying to get as much info as I can before I order it.

Might need to get some photoshop programs running, your talon has a bad case or red eye XD

BTW tell you brother that is some damn good powder coating if he is just getting into it.

Love the build, keep it coming!

Ya thanks guys. My brother loves powder coating. We just bought a shed so he will have more room for his stuff and he can make a bigger oven(No room in the shop.)

Well here is some pics of the weekend.

Hard to tell if you did or not from the pics, but you need to add some really good support for the "volvo" turbo or that pie cut pipe will crack in no time (if it doesn't anyways).Love what you are doing though! Keep up the updates.

Ya the power steering bracket will work perfect for a support. will be making that soon.

Just got caught up on this. Awesome build. I get so tired of seeing the same setups over and over and this is so refreshing! I'm really digging how far DSMs have come in the past few years. I have been out for a while and am excited about all the new stuff I am learning.

Nice fab and powerder coating. Looking forward to the updates :rocks:

Updates have been slow. Been trying to get this semester of school out of the way and get some of these other builds at the shop completed. One more week of school and the updates should start rolling in.

Here is one pic for you guys. My 3.5 SS to 3.5 Aluminum exhaust

Nope getting the subframe from Paul next week. Turbos should be here soon. School is done for the summer so its going to be crunch time when I start getting my stuff back.

Huge thanks to Justin for doing the rebuilds on the Holsets. They look great and I'm sure they will perform just as well. Paul is bringing the subframe up tomorrow. Its time to get this thing rolling!!

If either of them give you any trouble, definitely let me know- your HX52 was identical to Paul's in that it used two turbine seals...and the repair kit only comes with one. Rather than buy another $95 parts kit just to get one seal (ridiculous considering Goldfarb will sell you another entire HX52 core for $150), I opted to re-use the better turbine seal of the two along with the new one, just as I did in Paul's. Everything else is new.

I'm confident that it will work just fine. :thumb:

so how does the oil feed work? you got one from the head the other from the OFH? wouldn't you have oil pressure issues feeding those beasts? I'm guessing the oil pan has to be tapped for a secondary drain as well.
compounding is just retarted cool.... i guess those fools that thought the GSX came twin turbo wasn't all that off on the potential it could have. Imagine if dsms came stock with compound setups hahahaha

On my first one, I fed the 16G from the head and the 60-1 from the OFH. I'll probably do the same thing this time around as well. But I think John is T'ing both of his off the OFH. And yes, two separate drains to the pan.
