here are some pics to compare an EDM and a JDM Cyclone.

comparison:
- the EDM is bigger, longer Runners, bigger Plenum.
- the EDM has an EGR way, the JDM not
- the EDM simply consists of 2 parts,3 Parts are the JDM
- the EDM , the Runners for one cylinder are different size, the ones without butterfly is bigger then the other, more Air will sucked in by lower RMPs
- the EDM, the Runners for one cylinder joining right after the butterfly, in the JDM version they stay separate
- the EDM butterfly Actuator faces downwards, the JDM one upwards (but both close the butterfly with vacuum)
- the EDM has 1 Vacuumconnection an the back of the plenum (for Brakes) and 3 on the Front (Crankcase, Fuelpressure and Vaccumcanister for the butterfly); the JDM had 4 on the Front (because its constructed for Turbo Engines, and the EDM one for non Turbo)
- both EDM and JDM have the same throttle body size
- the EDM has a different holder (connects the cyclone with the engine), this holder is different from the JDM one, and its different from the normal one, JDM and stock are different too
- the stock holder between head and throttle body do not fit on the EDM, but fits the JDM version

determination:
- the EDM is optimized for non Turbo Engines, the JDM for Turbo ones
- the performance is great with both cyclones, better with the EDM one. The car pulls great from low RMP to the redline. The ECU switch the butterfly close around 4500 RMP.

advice:
-the EDM is a bit difficult to get it in, because of its size, you have to push a bit hard, but it works
- the space between strut bar and the cylone is smaller than with the JDM version

origin:
the JDM Cyclone was constructed for Galant VR4, the EDM for the Dynamic 4 (not all, mostly from 1992. A slightly different EDM Version (without EGR) was used in the AMG Galant.

Pictures they say more then thousand words:

left EDM, right JDM
