I tried doing a search and coil not find anything as this being kind of an off the wall problem. I hada local audio store install a remote start and alarm system. Took them way long than bid time. Several hours. I drove it straight home that evening and had not driven it until I hadkto workthe next day. As I'm driving to work the car fell on its face at a light and the CEL came on 0300 ramdom misfire. Limped it back home and traced it as far as the coil pack. Every other cyclinder is firing. Now I have discovered this is only happening after the car reaches operation temp. The freeze frame read 199 dergrees. Is this coincidental of the install or could they have messed something up in the ignition system while wiring the remote start?

my car when i first got it, it had a starting problem it had an aftermarket alarm. it made all kinds of electrical problems tried a ton of stuff to make it work right. nothing worked but when i removed the alarm and wiring car worked like new. one thing i did see when doing this is the people that installed the alarm used wire clips to put all the wires together. power doesn't always travel well through them wire clips. it all would have a better chance of working over the life of the car if it was all soldering together. the first time. in all the research i did a ton of people said aftermarket alarms don't do will on these cars.

so for you they vary well could have done something wrong if it all worked before then didn't after i would say take it back and talk to the manager not the person at the front desk or the person who did the install. the manager!

one thing you can do is find someone close to you that has a working one and swap them out and give it a try.

this can be a big pain in the A@@! good luck
