Alarm/Locking remote?

I am wondering if anyone has ever run into their locking/unlocking remote distance being so short that you actually have to hold the remote against the driverside window to make the doors lock/unlock? Can be frustrating if you don't hold it in just the right place. Thanks!

I have heard they dont work at relatively short distances. Did you try changing the batteries?

Yes, That was my first thought. It didn't change anything at all when I swapped them out for a new set. I don't mind being close, but there is like a 2 inch square spot on my window that I have to be within to make the doors unlock remotely. If thats the only flaw I can find in this car tho, I'll gladly take it!

I don't know the best way to diagnose the problem, but if it's the remote you can just do a quick search on ebay for any remote with the code GQ43VT6T to replace it. If you're lucky you might find one for $20.
