95 Eclipse GS. When I press on my clutch the pedal pops half way down and then pops again when it hits the floor. It sounds like the pop noise is coming from my master cylinder. I can definitly feel it in the clutch when I hear the popping sound. I just got my clutch master cylinder replaced about 300 miles ago though. The only thing I can think of is my master cylinder is cheap and bad or I got air in the lines somewhere. Any other suggestions? Please help! Thanks!

Get under the dash and try and push the pedal in while watching the master cylinder rod go in. Look for fluid or anything abnormal leaking out of it. Air shouldn't pop.

Ok I pushed it in and their is no fluid coming out but while I was under their I pushed it in I think the metal peice that connects to the pedal itself is the thing thats popping cause when I pushed it in it moves down a lil right when the sound ocurs when it pops. Can I fix this some how?

I'm not positive what you mean, it's it the metal bracket that forks into a kind of |_| shape?

You have to either replace the assembly. Or pull it out and have someone reweld the bushing in place, which some people frown upon. Either way you will have to pull the pedal out.

It pops prob. 90% of the time when it's not running and 10% when i'm driving around. So not as often when it's running. I am pretty positive it's the bushing connected to the pedal because when it pops it sounds like it's comin from it also when it pops the bushing slants down a little at the exact time of the pop.

Does sound like the bushing. But check everything over real good and make sure all is put back the way it is supposed to be. Why i say this is the fact you just had the master cylinder replaced.
