Clutch pedal broke in half

Hello DSMers

Yay, my first post. Been a lurker from quite some time.

Anyhow, my clutch pedal broke in half WTF I got the parts from a mitsu dealer and now stuck installing it. I need to remove the bolt that pivots the clutch but unable to since the bolt is approx. 3.5in long and will hit the sidewall. How do you remove the damn thing? Any help will be greatly appriciated.

If this is a 1g (fill out your vehicle profile) then your gonna have to remove the entire pedal assembly. Its a major PITA, you can find instructions for removing the pedal assembly on vfaq.com

Mike, thanks for your reply. But this is a 2g. I have a feeling i may have to remove the entire pedal assembly on this one too. I'll check out the vfaq.com and see if its similar.

You will have to remove it, and it isn't that tough to do. Just get under there and get to work!
