clockwise or counter-clockwise

The crank pulley bolt spins off counter clock wise.

man i am goin the right way thank you :thumb: im tryin to get the bolt out so i can change my balance shaft belt but i cant get it to turn i was hoping i was going the wrong way all day LOL
 
yea my impact just wont do it even at 100psi the guns just gettin old i tried to find a way to hold the crank pulley from not spinning to get that bolt out all i need to do is put on a balance shaft belt the one on there isnt old but i have a gates one so i figure why not but this is crazy it wont budge

You can try a breaker bar and a good quick tap with a hand sludge to break it lose. Works for me some times.
 
Sucker's torqued on over 100lbs at the factory. I used a breaker bar with a 19mm socket on the end and lay the bar end over the driveline, take out the injector fuse, then bump the key so the motor, which swings clockwise, will break that bolt loose.
 
If the motor is out of the car, you can put 2 flywheel bolts in on the other side and use a metal bar off of the ground or held by a friend to hold the crank in place while you break the bolt loose. Worked for me.

:thumb: i did almost everything you said except i just didnt feel so good about the whole holding the torque bar in place by the axle part so i found a good use for my old stock wheels i set the car down on the wheel VERY GENTLY with cardboard so it could not scratch anything and tapped the key it worked great
