well my stock eprom chip works fine. I installed a chip my buddy gave me and it made a relay freak out. How is that possible? He burns chip for his vr4 without problems. Are the eprom chips the same. Does he have to do anything different during the burn:

What exactly is going on? Need more info than a relay is freaking out.

Did he burn it for a 1g ECU, when you have a 2g? Check your install and make sure that you did not bend a pin, or pop a solder joint on the socket/board connection.

VR4? Galant or 3000GT? The GVR4 use a 27SF256 chip, the 3000GT vary by year. The DSM 95 eprom uses a 27SF512.

I don't completely understand your post. You can't put an rom from a different car in your ecu. Only the EB23 series images will work in a 95 eprom.

Ya he might have used the wrong eprom and program/data. He is going to look for the file for a 2g and it looks like i have to buy the right chip? The chips arent the same. I got a m27c2568. What one do I need for the reburnable chip? thanks .... that solved the relay LOL

ya ceddy i sent him the link to your site for him to go off your files. Can we use that chip i stated?? as long as it holds the info right???
