Im going to get a keydriver chip. what would be better to help, an afc or maft gen2 in the fine tuning at wot?

Maf-t is useless as a tuning device. Not to mention it's going to be located under the hood most likely. Safc will work well for fine tuning. Oh yeah and its KeyDIVER. Jeff usually gets the tune pretty damn close so you shouldn't need much correction.

Ya i use a maft and a chip but the chip i have is for a little bit smaller injectors... I got a pretty good tune in with the maf-t and I'm using a 2.02v... It just takes time and knowledge and trial and error... just dont error that much LOL...

Like 1st gen said, Jeff gets the tune really close. But if you want to fine tune it a bit more, grab a logger, a wideband and an afc. IMO, as it states on the Keydiver website, if you're not running more than 20psi, the chip's tune should be fine. It's running over 20psi that you should be getting an extra piggyback tuning peripheral for.

I use one of his chips with an SAFC1, wideband, and logger, just like marq95gst suggests. The chip is pretty much spot on until I'm over 24psi, and then the adjustments are only about 5%. It's a great setup. Get the biggest injectors you can afford, and you'll probably never have to have the chip remapped unless you make huge changes to your turbo setup.

thanks guys for the input. im looking to run 23lbs on my evo3 16g. so im guessing 860 to 880cc injectors will be good so i have room to improve. what kind of logger do you recomend? i def plan on getting a wideband.

He does pretty well on tuning for 93 oct. but for E-85 he doesn't do so well so if your running pump you'll be okay.

Btw my buddy w/ his Fpgreen,Chip,Gm Maf, Maft on 660 inj manage to tune it to 457hp so don't count out Maft and he very seldom ever touches it for tuning.

I'll have to disagree with this statement. My chip is dual imaged, one map for pump 91 and the other for e85, so I feel I can comment on both pretty confidently. My e85 tune is just as tight as my pump gas one is, and is my preference of the two by far. So much so, that I've run less than half a dozen tanks of 91 octane through the car since getting it set up last year. I've had no issues at all with the e85 map.
