hey guys i am thinking about getting a keydriver chip. i wanted to know what rpm setting i shoud have it at? 7800 or 8000? plus there is a stutterbox function, what do you guys think i should have the 2 step stutter box set at? 4500,4750,5000,5250, or 5500? also i will be switching the boost gauge to read knock. also i have a act 2100lb clutch in the car and also dont want the clutch to go anytime soon. this is like my 6th clutch. also i dont want to start breaking stuff whenever i launch, so please let me know what you guys think. also could you guys that have the chip, give me some feedback and insight on your opinion on the chip. thanks cuong

These transmissions are a dime a dozen and they break like a hot knife through butter. Expect to break them often on any hard launch. I have a spare ready to go in at a moments grenading notice. :thumb:

It all depends on how high you want to rev your car. Also, just because your rev limit is set at a certain rpm, it doesn't mean you can't rev lower than that. Just a thought.

Jeff now has the ability for you to select the stutterbox rpm point when the car is in the "ON" position.

Great function; helps when you don't have your logger hooked up.

Sounds as if you need to bring your car to somone that knows how to do it correctly.

Notice how hes talking about breaking parts on a hard launch. Yeah thought so.

Do you think that you proved someone wrong here?

I am going to ASSume that he was worried about breaking parts due to his ACT clutch. However, I'm not sure because the original post was all over the place. Learn how to slip the clutch and launch correctly and you won't break a thing with that clutch.

I have to say Jeff's chip works great for me. I did a six bolt swap and 660's and my idle sucked, and would stall when i pressed in the clutch. I put jeff's chip in to compensate for the injectors and BAM....i had rock solid idle and the cra ran night and day better.
I like the knock gauge function and the stutterbox is really cool.
I would say definately worth the money. :thumb:

Are you using an AFC as well?

I do have an afc installed. Very little adjustment at the low side, about -20 or so on the high. Idle and off throttle were my big fixes. :thumb:
Plus now ....new features for 2g's....ask Jeff! :thumb:
