check valves

After reading a little bit about the brake booster, valve cover, fuel tank check vlaves now im all paroniod about it . Its really changed my perspective on the check valves importance..

What do you'll think on this subject.

I had a 1gb eclipse with bad brakes i got from a friend which is now sold but thats what got me searching it in the first place, see now that motor is going into my 2ga eclipse and i was curious about the obvious vacume prolbem the breake system was having in that other car. I know that he wasnt using the egr and all the throttle boddie vac lines were caped off. Ill probably be doing the same thing on my 2g since i have dsmlink and dont need the egr.

What do you want to hear? The OEM brake booster line has a built in check valve, the PCV is a check valve. They are there for a reason.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking either. I don't see the relation to blocking of the EGR system and check valves? Please expand.

I use one in my brake booster line, because i needed a longer than OEM line.

I bought some hose locally, put a Kynar check valve from US Plastics in it, and it has worked perfectly at boost pressure above 30psi without the OEM valve.

It's not a bad idea to throw one in the PCV line because it only costs a few cents and if the stock PCV is older and leaking it should seal up the problem for cheap.

As stated above, if the setup is stock and working properly, it shouldn't really be needed.
