When I see that setup that was posted I see a well thought out setup that's much stronger at it's attachment points than the ST bar I'm currently running. Also I see a setup with interchangeable bars which means that I can adjust the stiffness by swapping bars out and not by moving around the attachment points. The problem with the ST bar is that it's very easy to set some pre-load into the bar un-intentionally by tightening up the joints they provide you with (can't remember the name, maybe Heim Joints???). With the setup posted above that's not a variable anymore and it allows you to tune the setup easier without introducing other variables like the ST bar does.

I can also appreciate it's ruggedness. Just two weekends ago a friend of mine snapped his rear sway bar link at the Winged Warrior event I was at and turned his 245'ed/JIC'ed setup into an understeering pig mid corner as the rear was doing different things in each corner due to a part failure he had no chance to repair. I highly doubt a failure of that sort would happen with a setup like what's on the civic. Bigger isn't always better, but it can be much more reliable.

At high speed losing a rear swaybar link could cause some seriously scary side effects, some I don't want to have to worry about. The extra strength in that setup alone makes it worth the upgrade regardless of its thickness or ability. Rember that in order to finish first, one must first finish.
 
It's "Hiem", and yes I broke one at Cal Speedway in the rain. Not fun doing two complete 360's, for a hundred yards, at 120mph, stopping within three feet of a concrete wall...OMG

Youch OMG that's the kind of thing I'm talking about avoiding. Glad to hear you came out of that one ok:thumb:

Elmo... ROFL I painted them all red before I knew how dumb tiny red brakes look. WTF
Doesn't look any worse than the rest of the car, though.
Repainted the rears after I got the big Willies in front, I'm better now.
The arms are 5/8 extra h.d. Heim joints (Mc Master Carr #4483T7), & jam nuts. Bolts and "swedge tube" in 14" length are from Behlings Circle Track supply (a local place, can't seem to find a website, they are a little old-school). I made the s.s. spacers at work.
I'm probably going to make similar lowers over winter along with "toe eliminators". Should be interesting finding someone to align it with all that.
