Cell phone dataloggers?

OK I saw the adatptor on ebay. Which cable does it adatp with? I have a PC data cable. So do I need the palm data cable plus the adaptor?

Did they finish that software or is it still just a "project"? I had seen it before but it wasn't done.

Ya the software works from what I read on the thread. The software is still free right now.

But the cable is not.The thread has the blutooth adapter, that plugs into the obd port. Then logs via blutooth. But there is a hard cable in the works.

I don't have this yet.Well I have the software, not the cable.I also have an old palm cable in a box in my closet. So If there is an adapter for that to the droid,I'm pretty much set.

I currently use the tourqe app for droid on my mytouch slide along with a plx bluetooth obd2 connection on my dsm. I like what I got for the money.

Some cons are that I still haven't figured out how to access the logged data from my car. As it is uploaded as well as I have the option to email myself the logs each time.

For realtime data however I really do enjoy the results. I will compare to ceddymods and evo scan when I get them.

Can I use it to clear CEL codes on a 1G? LOL

Where are the cables/adaptors? I want it! Tired of using my laptop cause it's big and the battery is always drained if I leave it unplugged.

OT-2 looks awesome and I was seriously looking into getting it but the fact that I would be forced to switch from my Android phone to an iPhone, no thanks. Contacted them about supporting Android and they simply said "no".

That is not the right adapter you seen on Ebay FYI... I would asume you are looking at a ODBII Bluetooth adapter for somethign like tourqe or a number of other odbII cell logging programs.

I just want to clear the Bold part up as I've seen a few people bringing this up and I don't think people understand how compected it actualy is... as well as there is a reason all the apps use Bluetooth or wifi.

Unless anyone is running on Android 4.0 or higher none of the USB host control that is needed to communicate is there. You can add this with custom kernals on older phones. But the majory of people that know how to do this type of stuff problably won't be asking in the first place. there is a few more issues that come to mind like getting power for a cable as well(not hard) as the phone won't be able to power it in most cases.

I'm working on a few things in this regards as well, But don't have a lot of free time.

But as far as the Right adapter See here --->FrozenApps.com or read the Whole MMCDroid App thread bud linked to it all in Here

OT-2 still looks a bit much $ still after a few years... To many cheap dsm'rs (considering you can by a $15 Bluetooth and use a free app for most people for ODB II)

I'm looking for the BLUETOOTH adapter that will work with 1G. Does the MMCD for Android work with that ODB2 adapter for 1G or not?

Oh now I saw it, it's $85.00 a bit expensive for me right now as I think I need to rebuild my bottom end.

Nice :ninja: Edit

I was going to say take the time to actualy read what I said...

Not to be rude, but you've been in Dsm's a fair amount of time I would hope you would know you can't use a ODB II tool on your car...

Unless it's swaped to soemthing 95-96+ like mine is sometimes :p
