I got mine off of ebay, it was only 125 shipped and its great quality. Check for the people whos manufacture is ACC out of dalton georgia they have been good to me.

Yeah I checked out their website and it looks good. What color did you get? I'm looking for the factory tan but they have like 5 different shades. Do you think the quality is like stock? Did you have to cut yours where it goes behind the dash?

I don't suppose there's much chance that a shop selling 2G carpeting might also sell 1G carpeting. After all, there's the magical potions required to get the 1G carpets just right, and of course you have to track down the specific-sized acryllic pelts to make them fit just right. Thank god there's those two 1G Carpet Manufacturing Companies still around, eh? And don't dare try to get any other kind of carpet from them, because you can be sure it just won't fly.

Oh, and those TWO seem to be TWO more than you were able to "search" for.

Thanks for polluting our air by continuing to breathe from the common atmosphere. At least none of it's getting to your brain (if present).

MAYBE IF YOU'D LET OUT THE GODDAMNED SECRET OF WHAT CAR YOU HAVE, WE COULD GIVE YOU MORE SPECIFIC INFORMATION.

Whats up guys, well my spyder has undergone some serious water damage. Thinking about swapping in new carpets. I saw some on ebay for around $150.. just wondering if there are any sites i can check out to compare prices maybe..

Btw, I have tan interior/ tan carpet.. I was thinking about going with black carpet.. what do YOu think?

Both those links were for 1g but I found what I was looking for..

Sorry I should have done a search! :(

But I had another question..

I was wondering if you think black carpets would look good in my tan interior? I think it would look cool. It would match the dash, steering wheel, center console area..

Carpet should match the seats, not the dash, think about the design of the new cars nowadays, take design cues from people that design car interiors for a living, you can probably go to any car manufacturers web site and look at pictures of interiors.

I remember my tan interior eclipse, and I don't think black carpet would have went well, it would have clashed to hard with teh seats. Now if you're thinking of re-upholstering your seats to black, then I would say go for it.

Thanks for your response.

I think black seats in my car would not look good.. if I did that then i would probably swap every tan piece out of the car.. then it wouldnt even match my tan roof and that would look odd.

I dunno the carpet is one thing.. maybe i'll just keep it the stock color.. any more feedback would be appreciated.

Make sure you don't order too thick of a carpet. When i got mine it came very thick and was hard to work with and form into the molding.

Ive got my new carpet sitting out in my sunroom, haven't installed it yet, but I bought it pre-formed, I think it was only like $120 shipped, but I have a 1G...

Just to give you a heads up, you'll want to take as much of the interior out as possible, Im contimplating taking out my whole dash to do the install, I pulled the old carpet out without taking the dash out, but with the dash in it will just be harder to do the install.

Like livid said, thick carpet will be hard to work with, use the opportunity whith your interior out to run and electrical wiring you want, for speakers or a fuel pump re-wire or anything you might want to do.

Replacing the headliner was easy, I finished that about 2 weeks ago, took about 30 minutes to glue on, took 2 people, could have done it by myself but I would've rushed it, then another 30 minutes cutting out around the sunroof and touching up loose spots where the glue was.

Since my car is a 1G I'm taking the time to "upgrade" my interior to reflect more of todays modern cars, since I own a corvette alot of my color schemes, patterns, and color placment is being taken off my corvette and the new corvette Z06. I'm completely re-doing everything in my car, dying the vinyl, getting custom leather seats painting the interior etc.

If you do any of this on your own, make sure you do GOOD PREP WORK, alot of people have chipping paint and what not because they skip the good prep work.

Also why your carpet is out, check for rust, and bad electrical wiring, repair any bad wiring to prevent shorts, and sand and prime any interior rust, you can even spray a layer of similar or matching paint (its under the carpet so no need to be extremely picky)

Was the carpet precut ? Does it come with the clips on the sides that attach under the door sill plates? CuaseI just got some carpet from www.Autocustomcarpets.com and it was like $240 shipped. Came with no clips , I had too cut alot off the color didnt match, and wasnt formed at all. Then I decide to call the dealer and I could had got it from them for like $150, which I might still do but they cant give me a positive answer on wether or not the plastic trim/clips come with it. Any input is appreciated.
