The last place I will ever take my car is to the dealership!!!!!!!!!!

Besides they cost to much.

   Dealership:laugh:

WOW! That's nowhere near as expensive as I figured all new carpet would be. Damnit, now I want new carpet too.

So I finally decided to "do" the interior of my spyder, since I can no longer stand the tan/black color combo from the factory. I decided to go with the clean black/white color combo and I've got just about everything I need to start the project but the carpet...

I've found a few places on the web that have replacement carpet for eclipses, but coupes only. Is their really a big difference between the carpet of coupes and spyder?

Soo If anyone knows where I can hook up some black carpet for my spyder, I'd grealty appreciate it if they'd let me know!
Thanks :dsm:

Has anyone done this? How much of a PITA was it? Where did you purchase the replacement carpet and how was the quality and fitment? And was it exactly the same as what was originally in the car all the way down to that rubber section under the pedals.

I've been thinking about replacing my carpet recently because it is a little dirty and the money I'd spend shampooing, etc. might come close to what it would cost me to just get new carpet. I've seen oem replacement carpet on ebay for around $100. Supposed to be molded to fit perfect...

I also have the black/tan interior and think it might look pretty good if I replaced the tan carpet with black. Just a thought right now, what do you guys think?

It's not a _hideous_ job on a DSM, but it's not quite simple. Fair bit of fitting, fiddling, snipping and persuading. Just be sure to snip less than you thought it needed.

can order the custom cut carpet for you, already molded etc, no cutting or "snipping" necessary. :thumb: :thumb: And they can do customer colors that way!

the piece that covers up to the back seats, not the hatch piece rather, yeah, all 1. Oooo your girl knows you well, that's impressive! KEEPER!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I have the ACC carpet set. Fit is pretty good. I would recomend it. I got rid of the tan and went black. Comes molded, but has to be cut and trimed. Heal pad in place. I picked mine up from a local guy still in the box for a 100 with the trunk peice that I didnt even use.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. :thumb:

chriw21_2000, is this the ACC carpet set you are referring to? Just did a quick search and found that place selling it. If you (or anyone else) has a place they would recommend that I order from, please let me know. I'm pretty sure i'll probably end up replacing my carpet in the near future. Just gotta find a couple of free days to do it now.

Oh, and chriw21_2000, did you just replace your tan carpet with black and leave the rest of the interior tan pieces, ie. seats, door panels, etc. If so, do you have any pics? Just curoius what that would look like since replacing the carpet is all I plan on doing.

I own a silver 98 eclipse spyder, with black and white interior.I purchased a black coupe carpet kit from ebay for $100.It worked out great.Check out my gallery.I have custom Speedcovers for 2G eclipse spyders.Contact me if interested.

ACC would would probablybe the best way to go, you can get it in any color you could ever imagine too... all for about $200

While my car is gone for two weeks i wanted to order new carpet for my car. Does anyone know of a company that sells a 1 piece carpet that covers from the front to the back on a 90-94 model. I have my rear seat removed so i want a 1 piece carpet from front to back. Thanks.
