car wont turn on

tried to turn my car on today and it didnt want to turn on i dont know if the battery is dead.. it ran fine the day before.... hoping its a dead battery my light work but i dont know

take a look at the battery, if there is alot of carbon/ acid buildup around it, chances are all you need to do is charge the battery. also get it tested, I know any walmart with a tire lube express can test it for ya (I know i canada its free). if all checks out to be good try tapping the starter a little with something hard ( not really hard though) then try turning it over. if it works after you hit it a couple time good chances are its the starter going. at least thats what my experiences tell me

Ok, were gonna need a little bit more information than that....When you turn the key does it crank?? If it does crank, does it sound like its turning over slower and slower?

If it is cranking fine, it could either be a problem with fuel or spark.

Of coarse it can be plenty of other things, but you should check these first.
