i have a 95 eagle talon and the car was working just fine but one morning it didnt want to start the car did nothing but lit up the instrument cluster, after numerous tries i started hearing a strange clicking noise while tring to start it. first thing i tought was STARTER!! but before i did anything i checked the batterry gave the car a jump nothing happened, checked the terminals for corrossion there was none, finally i took the battery to the local carquest they load tested it and it was low but not that low as to the car not being able to start, so they charged the batterry for me, came back installed it and still nothing so i had my homeboy look at the car for me he recently graduated from lincoln tech, we checked it and agreed to buy a starter so we did came home took the old one out (it was a b$%#h!!) put the new one in and nothing still, until i accidentaly touched a bolt that was sticking out where the shock mount is inside the engine and BAAMM!! the car started right up!.
so my question is the following can a simple ground make the car not start?? and what makes a ground a good ground.:hmm:

Wow! That was a pretty funny post!LOL Of course there has to be a ground... It is needed to complete the circuit.;) With ANY electrical component there has to be a source of power and a ground for it to work and your starting system is no different. This is why you can unhook just one side of your battery and nothing in the car will work. It's because the circuit is not complete. Make sense?

Damn guy ya beat me to it:thumb: I was gonna say if the issue sounds like a starter i always check my wires first... Good to hear you got your issue solved and back on the road!

that starter was a little b*&^% but atleast we found out the problem. cant wait for its tune up and see what its capable of specially seing that its not the stock turbo atleast it doesnt seem like it.
