So I had problem of my 1998 eclipse gs-t not starting one day, thought it was multiple other issues but turned out it was the CAM sensor, not it’s acting the same way, cranks over normal (real fast) but doesn’t turn over and start up. Last time I sprayed ether in the intake and it turned over and idled then stalled obviously, so did research and went to replace CAM sensor. But now when I spray ether in it doesn’t turn over at all. So that leads me to either, ecu, spark issue, timing or compression. I’ve checked my timing before and after this issue numerous of times and it’s fine. I’ll post pics of ecu below because idk what I’m looking for really. Doesn’t smell like fish. I’m not sure what all spark issues it could cause. Used a cheap test light and showed spark in all four cylinders and checked out but I don’t trust that test light. It seems that only two cylinders are burning most of the fuel when cranking. I thought maybe it was cam sensor again so replaced with an oem part this time and no luck. I’m stumped and currently don’t have time to Keep going over everything. Anyone who can pinpoint me in the right direction would be great. I did a compression test a while back the first time I had this issue and checked out to all be even but a tad low at 145 I believe.
