I have dsm link and do not have the stutter box hooked up. When the car is in gear it will rev to the rev limiter and pulls hard. When i go to push in the clutch to rev it up like I'm going to launch it stops at 5k with the pedal to the floor. It bounces off 5 k and back fires a little bit. I can smell it burning extra fuel too. The car builds no boost and bogs if i try to launch it. (I'm not sure how much boost it is supposed to build or if it does at all with the stutter box hooked up) Is the car pulling timing? Why is it doing this? I'm going to have the stutter box hooked up soon just curious why I'm having this problem now. Thanks for your help.

try looking at your speed settings, i.e. in link under RPM, there should be a box thats called launch speed. Try setting that to 0 and see if that helps.

If he's experiencing this problem at a stop, the box to look at is the Launch box.

If he has Enable Clutch Cut checked and is at a speed greater than the Launch Spd value, then he should look at his Shift Limit box.

If Enable Clutch Cut is not checked and he's experiencing this at a speed greater than the Launch Spd value, then he needs to look at his Rev Limit box.

K thanks guys my laptop is really screwed up and i cant move it from my desk but when i get my hands on one that works i will do what you said. I was thinking it would be in the lauch settings but i havent run anything from the clutch to the ecu yet so i was thinking it wouldnt work unless it knew there was a connection between the clutch and ecu. I dont really know that much about the launch control or the no lift shifts yet. The only time i not lifting while shifting it didnt turn out how it should have. Does the no lift feature pull timing or how does it work? Because when i did it the car went str8 to the limiter. Does it need to be set up for it to work properly like the studder box?

You need the clutch to be wired in order to use NLTS, otherwise Link doesn't know when the clutch is engaged, and there you go, straight to the limiter. In order to use the stutterbox all you need to do is have a vehicle speed input. Pretty much the way it works is that when the car is under X mph, there is a separate rev limiter, the stutterbox. You should be able to eliminate your problem by either A: setting the speed limit to 0, or B setting the Launch RPM to the same RPM as your redline, whatever that may be. I actually have never felt the need to not use the stutterbox, so Im not sure if one will work better than the other. Let us know if this fixes what you were describing.

Since you said you didn't install the orange wire for the clutch cut, it's obviously not going to work.

Ok. Got it fixed and the car launches hard as hell. The launch control was set up for 4500 rpm but the car would rev to 5. It was changed to 5500 and the car revs to six now. The wire has to be run only for the no lift shifts. Thanks for your guys help.
