1G car wont idle

My 1g talon tsi doesnt like to idle at all, im thinking it has something to do with an uncapped emission vacuum. The car rides and sounds fine when you drive but when you're sitting at a light or just start it up you have to keep you foot on the gas just a little or it will die. Anyone else have anything else i sound try after i plug the emission vacuum lines?

If you have a vacuum/boost leak on a MAF air system, it will cause those issues.

There are many possible sources of vacuum/boost leaks. This writeup on surge investigations may also be useful in tracking some of the possible leak locations. Since you are having idle issues consider checking the ISC.

So you saying this might need to be replaced, would the one off a 92 4g63 n/t be the same as a 91 4g63t

Test before throwing money at a problem. The write up doesn't strictly say replace the IAC valve bit rather testing the coils to verify they aren't burnt.

I know i was just making sure that was the same thing, im goin to run through test just want to get alil info ahead of time so im not just waiting once i test one thing b i move on
