So I'm in the middle of installing a new horn on my 1990 Plymouth laser RS turbo and it makes creeking noise. Its jacked up so I get nervous and move my head out from under but the car stays put so I assumed it was the strut. Well when standing in front of the car I hear it again and it came from....bad ears but I'd like to say from the front center of the car. \/ 30 degree area looking slightly between battery and engine. So....like from the passenger side of the battery to the throttle cable, not the wire. Where the wire comes out. I heard metallic or even static crackling. I have absolutely no idea what it could be since I've never heard such a noise from a car before. Not entirely sure if someone can help, but any opinions or ideas would be lovely. I just hope its not that radio thing that stores energy about to explode
then wouldn't that mean either its not grounding correctly. Or the alternator is pushing slightly too much electricity back into the system so it's jumping like discharge?
