Car sputtering 90% of the time at full throttle

I have no boost leaks. New plugs.

Recently I rebuilt my engine. Before I had it set at 20psi daily on my evoIII 16g with pump gas and had absolutely no problems. After the rebuild its starts sputtering around 16 psi. While monitering with my data logger the 02s are at .92 to .94 the entire time at full throttle and my timming is at 19-21 the entire time through full throttle. It does this 90% of the time at full throttle and just once in a while it does not. I am stumped to why its doing this I have tried to figure it out and I am stumped so I come to you DSMers for advise.

No adivce here, but I think my car is doing the same thing as your. Sometimes at WOT around 5000 rpms the car has a slight miss, then up through 7000 rpms it still misses. I don't mean to hyjack your thread, but I don't want to start another tread cause this sounds alot like my problem.

check your coil

Coil resistance is fine. Im thinking it might be the "igniter" or the ignition power transistor. I can't find a way to test it though. Anyone have any idea?

I tried another coil that is in known working order from a friends car and it still does it :thumbdown

I know its a spark problem. I have brand new plugs and wires and I have perfect timing and no knock. Its not getting enough spark for the fuel. So im gonna look into an after market ignition box.

Anyone have some recommendations?

Gap your plugs down to .025" or so.

possibly plug wires??? mine did that too, also what kinda mas are u running???

I went out and bought brand new NGK wires yerterday just to rule them out and it had no affect.

I dont see how it could be tunning if the car ran perfect before the build and my timming and knock are perfect?
