changed all couplers just recently becasue at full throttle it starts to sputter and sometimes the check engine light will come on shortly then go back off if im trying to go full throttle.

i dont think i have any boost leaks as i just changed all the couplars and double checked all the clamps. could the intercooler have a leak? or could it be starving for fuel?

heres some pics if you want to see pics of something in paticular let me know..

What kind of sputter? Does it feel like you hit a wall? Do a boost leak test, just because you tightened all the clamps doesnt mean you dont have leaks. Check all your vaccum lines etc. Change your spark plugs (NGK) and recirculate your blow off valve.

the sputter feals like its missing on 1 cyclinder. not like bucking or anything like that. i had a bad injector once on a different dsm and its \kinda the same thing but theres no bucking.

Exactly which turbo do you have? Which Walboro pump do you have? Is the pump rewired? Do you have a Data Logger? Have you checked your plugs/wires at all?

I think I'm having almost the same problem, no matter what I do mine won't make it past 4600 RPM, you said you get a check engine light to come on once in a while and then goes out, what is the stored code that you get? Does yours cut out at a certain RPM too? Do you have a log?

well i have this guy

see i suspected it was eathier fuel or spark related i dont have a data logger and cant afford one right now which sucks. ill change the spark plugs and rewired the fuel pump and see what happens... and if i can figure out an easy way to hook up this waste gate i can disconnect the internal one on the turbo. and run with my boost controller. which isnt installed eathier

They have thermal wrapping but that turbo gets smoking hot, ziptie to the brackets of the radiator. That isn't your problem but it may cause a problem in the future. Your 255 is very possibly overrunning your stock fuel pressure regulator. Put that afpr on there stat! You would have to modify your exhaust manifold with a wastegate bung to be able to run that external wastgate. No boost controller? Do you have a boost gauge at least?:talon: ya need to post your mods in your profile so other people can see what you have for better advice. You have 780cc injectors and no fuel management or boost controller?! Zoinks man! What turbo are you running?

i have a safc for tuning.. i posted my mods at the top of the posting. no no boost controller.. i just run the 23 psi internal wastegate that came with the turbo. and yes i do have a boost gague. i never had this prolbem before.. it ran great for the first 40k miles but now its sputtering at full throttle.. fuel prolbem or ignition prolbem? boost creap?

in ya'lls opnion whats the easiest way to do a boost leak test?

You have 780cc injectors and tuning with a safc? Usually the safc can only adequately compensate for up to 650's. This probably doesnt relate to your problem now but if you plan on keeping the car for awhile I would upgrade your tuning device or get smaller injectors.

Boostpro.net has a nice boost leak tester than I use and am very pleased with.

i had the same probelm on my GS, i replaced the fuel filter, fixed it for about 1000 miles then started again, switched out plug wires with MSD's it was gone n still is, so check you ignition compnents, wires or plugs are probably the problem

okay update.. some of you may know that i just bought this car from my best friend. for 1000 bucks.. hommie hook up dont ask.. i asked him a few questions .. the turbo is a PTE 50/31 50 trim 60 ar. and it is running a walrbo 255 a 1g install kit was used..."dont know if it was Quote " "rewired" and as for the injectors i found out there 720's not 780's. the plug wires are prety nice race wires i wouldnt suspect them to be the cluprit but it is possible.

I can't believe no one else noticed this ( or maybe they have and i just can't read, i mean it is almost 2 am) but it looks like u have the turbo xs RFL bov which is not recirculated. Try getting a bov that recirculates, i know i had a RFL on my car and it was all stock besides 3in cat-back and it would sputter real bad at WOT. Get a bov thats recirculated and see if that helps.
