Ever since i came back from the drag races my Eclipse shuts off on me when i come to a stop. Basically what happens is when i either throw it into neutral to coast to a stop or down shift and come to a stop the engine shuts off while moving. But, i can prevent it from shutting off by blipping the throttle while in nuetral.
It Idles just fine and it drives just fine as well.
I've tightened all the clamps and Vacuum lines. I also replaced the spark plugs to see if that would solve the problem. It didn't.

Please help. This is annoying me

I haven't fixed any leaks. It just started happening after i got home from the drag races

OK to try and fix it, put in the recirculation hose. If that doesnt work, release your biss screw some more.

I have a NON-Recerculated intake. I also have a self adjusting HKS BOV. I'm fully tuned on this set-up with DSM Link. I just don't have an available laptop to hook it up to check

Other than the BOV, what is your vacuum at idle? Maybe a vacuum leak somewhere else throttle body seals, valve seals,.... You could do a boost leak test to confirm.

My Vacuum is at 10-10.5 at idle. It's always been there with my 272 cams

My vacuum line coming off the back of my BOV seemed a little loose. So i cut off a piece and re-tightened it with zip ties. Hopefully that did the job. I'll drive her in a little bit to find out

I had the same exact problem as you before twice first time I think it was the battery terminals were loose or had the white residue on them and I think my alternator tensioner came loose once I tighten the alternator tensioner it wouldnt die on me no more I also changed the battery and it work fine the other time was mu biss screw I had to adjust it

I adjusted the BISS Screw and nothing

Could it be my BOV sticking open? I've had it for almost 2 years now. Boosting 20lbs.
It's an HKS Black BOV

Did you ground it before you adjusted it?

2G BISS Adjustment

What do your spark plugs look like?

Also, you said it started happening right after you left the drag strip. Did anything overly strenuous occur during a pull, did you change, adjust or alter anything before or after?

I didn't ground it. I turned it counter clockwise 2 full turns and it raised my RPM's up 100-150.

At the drag strip i didn't notice anything on the pulls. I did 5 strong runs withen 5 hours.

The only thing i did a couple days before the track is clean the air filter & changed my plugs. Other then that I didn't alter/adjust anything before or after the run. After i noticed this issue i changed my spark plugs again and it was a bit black where the threads are on the plugs. NGKBPR7ES plugs

I would say get the laptop so you could log it a bit and then see exactly what happens when it stalls.

My car used to stall like that and eventually it got worst. My problem turned out to be the Cam Angle Sensor going bad. Swapped it out and it ran like a champ.

My car used to do that when I first got it... Then I recirced the BOV and it stopped.. hmmmmm imagine that..

No matter how well you think your tune is for having it open to the atmosphere, your still losing metered air into from your system between shifts that isnt being recirculated..

Id suggest getting a stock intake and try a different BOV thats recirculated and see if that fixes your stalling problem.
