I have a 1996 Eclipse GS. Usually when I start the car and begin driving, every time I press in the clutch and come to a stop my RPM's drop down from about a thousand down to 0 and the engine dies. I know its not from me snubbing it out, and sometimes it doesn't die when I stop, it seems if I have been driving for a while it doesn't die, but im not sure if that's totally true. Any ideas what might be causing this???

Check your Idle speed control motor. Easiest way is to just do a quick OHMs test across the terminals.
You could also take it out and hook up a 6V battery. Don't use a 12V though, you will fry the motor.
I would also check your MAF.

Remove and clean the following items (carb cleaner will do):

IAC (Idle Air Controller)
EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculator) Valve
Throttle body

Don't know why, but the EGR usually seems to be the culprit in most of these cases. Not saying that it is for sure on your car, but it sure won't hurt anything if you clean it out (along with the other items mentioned above), that'll at least help you eliminate some things.

Hope this helps.

Does your ECU have two plugs or one?

I had the same problem with my honda. I had a air/fuel too lean code also
cleaned my throttle body and IAC and it fixed the problem.
I thought it was a o2 sensor becasue thats what the guy at autozone said the code was far spent the 75 bucks.....didnt solve my problem but the $4 can of carb cleaner did
