Hey guys,
So a couple of days ago my car just lost low end power, its sucking down fuel too. It seems to be fine when in boost so i dont think it would be a boost leak, I'll be checking in a few days anyway though. I know my tb shaft seals are gone, havent had time change them. Im not throwing any codes. It idles ok, just no power. I did just check voltage and the alt is only putting out 14.1, could this be a problem?? Any ideas???

Make sure the diaphragm in fpr isnt leaking pull the vacuum line off it and see if fuel is leaking out. If you still have your emission seliniods one of them makes a loud clicking sound that you can here pretty well inside the car.

Think you're right, I ripped one of the solenoids off the firewall and clicking sound went away
 
Ok, I got it running a little better but still not right. Put new plugs, ngk gapped at 28. Re-checked tps, I think thats ok. Just dropped my exhaust at the downpipe to see if it was clogged, nogo. Got a video of what its doing now.

It idles fine, 2000rpm its fine, 3000rpm its fine. Under light throttle around 1500 its sputtering and surging. Help!!

Vent to atmosphere wont effect anything unless the BOV is leaking. It ONLY effects right after boost for a split second. metered air is escaping causing it to briefly run rich. If you did have a leaky BOV sucking in air, you would have a bad, high idle that was lean. You would surely run lean even at cruise due to the unmetered air entering and not being compensated for properly.

I'm not an expert in these cars by any means, but I unhooked my Tial BOV from recirculating for about 30 seconds just to see what would happen... what the video shows is exactly what happened, so its hooked back up now. How long has the HKS been on the car?

I thought there was like a 50/50 chance with 2G's that some would be ok uncirculated and some just stall out/ run like garbage?

It's been on the car since around November. I've only had this problem about two weeks.

Edit: when you unhooked yours did you plug the recirculation tube or the hole in the intake? Pulling in air after the mas will def make it run like crap. :)

yeah i did plug it, drove it about 100 feet and restarted it 4-5 times. said f that and moved on, LOL

Like others have said, maybe its an o2 sensor going out, my gas mileage went to crap and didnt run right when i had mine go, noticed it slowly getting worse then the CEL came on and at that point i was getting about 12-15 mpg
 
Egr was the problem. I noticed every time it would stutter I'd hear a slight ticking so I grabbed my stethoscope. I guess being so close to the knock sensor when the egr valve started ticking it would pull timing. I made a block off plate, deleted egr, Evap and vacuum lines, stutter is gone. Hehe

Now I'm breaking up in boost. :banghead:
