2G Car cranks, tries to start then dies

Did you end up finding out what was wrong? I have the same exact problem.

Are you running DSMLink?
Have you checked all the things already posted?
It's unlikely you have exactly the same problem but to play along, tell us what you have done and checked so far?

In terms of problems associated with the car, it's a similar issue. The vehicle cranks, tries to start then dies. Sometimes I can get it to run if I'm lucky feathering the gas, But I have to hold the throttle. But most of the time its crank for 3-5sec, tries to start then die.

98 eclipse gst /New built engine/ecuflash/stock tune/stock injectors/fuel lab fpr/new fuel lab filter/braided fuel lines. Holds 40psi fuel pressure.

Disconnected crankshaft position sensor. It just cranks and doesn't try to start. Volt and ohm correct.

Disconnected camshaft position sensor. Doesn't change condition. Replaced cps still doesn't change condition. Cam sensor bucket in correct orientation.

New o2 sensor /new tps /new coolant temp sensor /new plugs&wires/ swapped maf, but voltages were correct for both.

Spark on all 4, I visually seen injectors spray on all 4. Compression 158-160 on all 4.

It ran before and I drove it out of the driveway, but now it just sits there because it won't run. Also when it did run, it was pig rich.
Timing is also correct

The only thing left is to replace the ecu. There is one wire off the iac connector that frayed off #3 which is a iac coil wire. But that doesn't explain why it's hard to start and stay runing. I haven't done a boost leak test yet, but if Im just running at vaccum during idle, is it really necessary

Symptoms are about all this shared so no point to reviving a 10 year old thread. You have a nice fresh one.

Without all the ISC coils working together the ISC isn't going to step correctly. At startup the ECU opens the ISC up to aid in starting and as part of the fast warnup process together with the FIAV.
Since holding the throttle open seems to help a working ISC wouldn't hurt.

Do you have EVOScan so you can log what's going on? It would be nice to know what the ECU thinks the coolant temp is and make sure the other inputs are normal.
Did you turn down your base fuel pressure on purpose? 43.5psi is nominal base pressure on a 2G.
Is the TPS adjusted with a feeler gauge the IPS switching point?
Have you tried fresh plugs to rule out them being fuel fouled?
