Car alarm randomly went off at 10pm tonight. When I got outside there was no sign of someone trying to break in or anything. This then happened again at 12:30am and I was by the window and looked out immediately and saw no one around. Wondering if there’s anything that might make the alarm system trip if no one’s attempting to get into it. Nonetheless I cleaned the garage out, pulled it in, and took the horn fuse out so I could get some sleep.

Yeah, typically for me the door handles have a sensor on the back of the key cylinder, sometimes the sensor for the door lock cylinder pops off of the back of the cylinder, or is damaged

I believe this happened on my passengers side sensor. The car would then try to lock itself or unlock the doors almost constantly.

Anyways the quick fix to disarm the factory alarm is to lock the doors, then unlock the passengers side door. That will either arm or disarm the alarm, and it sounds like your alarm is armed

Second this. The sensor on the back of the handle is a switch that can pop off the lock cylinder when the door jolts from getting closed. The little clips that hold it in place get brittle and let go.

Just be sure when you reattach the switch, it is rotated the same orientation as the door lock so it stays in sync with the other handle and the whole system.
