Car acts strange under boost.

When I hit full boost, at around 3k all the way to 5k, my car won't accelerate like it used to. The rpm's go up but the car doesnt move like it should.

Probably sounds like its my stock clutch hey? I just want to be sure buy providing all the information I can.
The basically starts to shutter when I hit boost, nothing major, but I can feel it. The car is fine for driving around town, but when I hit the gas hard its like I've lost all my power.

I'm thinking clutch and or big-ass boost leak. What do you guys think? and what do you recomend as a course of action?

Definitely check for boost leaks anyway. Check for shaft play while your there too. But sounds to me like maybe your clutch is slipping. Does your rpms shoot up and the car not move? My rpms would fly up and the car not really go anywhere when the clutch would slip. Hope that helps good luck.

yeah when i tried to pay the chrysler dealership to check for leaks they were like huh??! so I"ll just build my own tester and do the bike pump thing.

I'm pretty sure its my clutch though. Does anyone know what the cheapest solution would be? I'm fairly broke and im frightened by the cost of a new clutch plus labour. I saw the vfaq..but its way over my head at this point. a shop would ahve to install it.

A shop is going to cost you a ton. It would be worth it to just set aside a weekend and do it yourself. Maybe a fellow dsmer might come by and help out or something. I found a new stock clutch on ebay for 150$ (fwd). The shop I had my timing belt done at wanted 400$ just to replace my master and slave cylinder. But he was trying to screw me anyway because my master and slave were fine so I dont know how accurate that price was, and im just babbling on now. Good luck.
