Well this is my story. It all started with taking a very delicious young female for a ride in my car. I did a few WOT pulls down a back road. The last run I did, something happened. The car just did not feel nearly as fast this time. I glanced at my boost gauge and I was running 19psi, when the car was set for about 17. I quickly got out of it, and when I did, the car bogged down a little, and my tach started jerking from 0rpm back to around 1,500, and in between. I first thought I blew an intercooler hose, but as I slowed to a stop the idle was very inconsistent. I shut off the car and checked everything I could with a flashlight, everything looked fine.

This is where it gets weird. After starting the car, it would idle perfect. After giving it a little gas, the tach would drop quickly to 0rpm. The rpms sounded low, but the car would stay running. If I gave it some gas, the tach would climb, but it acts sticky .. or very jerky. It will jerk from different rpms, and back to 0, or back to a perfect idle. I pulled the battery and reset the ECU, and I actually think it got worse. Now its hard to get it to idle correctly even for a second. I had the car trailed home, and this is currently how it acts. If I start the car, the rpms will pretty much always be at 0. I can give it some gas, and they will climb, but the tach is still jerky, and the car is just barely running.

Here is a video of its current condition. The tach does not jerk very much becuase i dont rev it that high (fear of hurting it) but if you watch close you can see it do it a little. The last shot is of my fuel psi, oil psi, and vacuum/boost. Oil psi is perfect, it pulls good vacuum. There is one other strange thing that happends about half the time i start the car. My AFPR is set as 43psi static. At normal idle my fuel psi hangs around 38psi. well for some strange reason when I start the car my fuel psi sits right at about 48psi. if I gas it, the fuel psi will raise from a static of 48, instead of 38 (fuel psi is pretty normal in the vid). all I can really think of that could be wrong is something vacuum related. Only watch the video if you think you could actually possibly know what might be wrong. I only have so much bandwidth. Thanks in advance –

i really do not think anything is wrong with the motor. it has good oil psi, there is no knock, no funny sounds. every once in a while when it does idle smooth, its VERY smooth. this has to be a vacuum related issue or comuter controlled IMO. (in the video if you cant see, the vacuum hangs around 20psi) the car sounds funny because im in a closed garage that echos bad. also the sound did come out very well anyway. well let me know what you think -

Not sure about the fuel pressure but for the tack and idle issues, check the electricle plugs on thr coil pack and the power transistor. Seems like one or the other might be loose.
Alright ill check this out .. unfortunately I'm not all that sure what I'm checking. I put new plugs in the car, the old ones were corroded bad, not sure why. but the plugs made no difference.
:barf:

The coil pack is an easy thing to check. Maybe like 5 minutes with a multi-meter. I'm going to say that it's either your power transistor pack or your ECU. Good luck!

well ill check the coil pack for sure. there is def something not right going on in that region anyway if my spark plug ends are all corroded. ill do a compression test tonight just to be sure too. thanks

*UPDATE*

i finally got time to check things out. the two inner spark plugs are not firing, and the two inner plugs connect to the right coil pack. so a bad coil pack is my problem. i might be getting a new one in the morning, if it fixes the car ill let you guys know.
