Can't get your 1G fog lights out?

I stripped my screws to the point where I could not get any grip with a screw driver. Then after thinking for a while I decided to try a #2 Philips socket screw driver. It worked the screws came out NO problem. I used one of these.

Good to know mine are stripped too, i'll give it a try. Good old "Canadian Tire" tools.

You can also try a dab of valve grinding compound on the tip of the screwdriver. Grips like hell.

i took a handy hammer to mine. screws stripped and i wanted them out. cuz i had new (way smaller) fog lights. looks a lil diff with out those high lights on the bottom, but at least my smic is breathing better now

(No it isn't.) You had more flow coming around the outside edge of the factory fog light than the intercooler can pass.

good to know. i was wondering if i should remove my stock fog lights or not. i like them so i didn't want to.

No clue. It just worked haha. I think because i was able to lean my body into it while having more torque from the handle of the wratchet.

It was still sharp instead of mostly-rounded like any used Phillips screwdriver, and it was brand-new. A new Phillips screwdriver should hold a screw without dropping it. And, Phillips heads are supposed to come out of the screw while turning.

Then there's the trouble you run into between Reed & Prince, Philips, and Pozidriv:

Craftsman screwdriver sets used to include a Reed & Prince driver. It was the one with the red handle.
