Well I have I removed the valve cover and am trying to get the head off to take it to a machine shop to look at it and see what possibly needs to be done. I am trying to get the head studs out and they don't want to come out for anything? I am using a 11mm 12 point socket which is correct, right? I have a breaker bar and it seems like if a pull any harder something is going to break. I shouldn't have to put this much pressure on the head studs, should I? Any tips??? I'm going crazy here.

They are ARP Head Studs. Yah I guess I can pull harder LOL. It just seems like I'ma break one off.

Is it ok to spray that inside the head? I was thinking about it but wasn't sure that was cool.

Try to break the torque first, that means turn the nut in the tightening direction a little first, then in the opposite direction. That should break them free, also remember righty tighty ,lefty loosey

they are oil soakeked anyway, I doubt PB will do much if any thing, PB will not hurt anything in the head, just make sure to change your oil before start up

somehow I doubt you will snap a ARP head stud (tey are rated at 190,000 psi) if you do, you have earned the name "He-Man" and can go back to castle greyskull!

If you snap one, it was going to fail anyhow

your pulling the head due to blown HG/overheating I would have to say.. the warp of the head is no pushing up agisnt the head stud nut and has increased the clamp load on it.

so in the end.... Pull harder!!

yea no one on this board has the strenght to break a arp head stud ahahhaha unless u got a 20ft breaker bar and a mack truck maybe LOL. just pull like hell man. pb blaster wont hurt the motor and wont do anything anyways because of the oil that is already there but its worth a shot. best of luck bro.

trow a 4' cheater pipe over your break over bar and give her hell, it will scare the crap out of you once it breaks loose. Done this several time with no issues, those arp's can handle about anything you throw at them.

Great you all have reassured me. I'ma go give it hell now, LOL. I got my 3' breaker bar and going to town I just didn't want to snap something off but didn't know it was that hard to do so.
